Terms and Conditions
Your order will be painted or drawn by me, NO photoshop or printing is involved, just brushes, pencils and an easel. As an animal lover I want my customers to feel a rush of love when they see their portrait.
I need a 50% deposit when you order. I won’t start work on your portrait until we have agreed the composition and any special requests.
Turnaround time always varies andI will advise you of the estimated turnaround time when you place the order. The turnaround time is an estimate and can always change, even during a commission.
You are not entitled to a refund if your portrait is completed after your estimated completion time, however I do always do my best to meet deadline dates such as birthdays. Commissions can sometimes be late, or early! As I can never really know how long each artwork is going to take me.
If you need an artwork by a certain date I always recommend getting booked in well in advance, for an 100% accuracy I recommend up to 6 months in advance. I am always available to contact so please do get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.
Prices include shipping by courier to mainland UK addresses only, Portraits are packaged securely and insured against the total cost of the portrait.
If your portrait is lost a claim will be made against the courier for the total cost of your portrait. Refunds will only be issued once a claim has been accepted by the courier. You may have to complete a formal declaration that you did not receive the portrait for the courier. As soon as the compensation has been received from the courier you will be issued a full refund.
You must enter your full shipping address at correctly. You will not be entitled to a refund if you have entered or typed an incorrect shipping address and your portrait has been delivered to that address.
Unfortunately, portrait orders cannot be cancelled once I have received your order and started work on your portrait. Cancellation fees will apply. All purchases are non-refundable to book a place in my calendar, this includes purchasing your portrait in full and deposits.
If you have paid in full and either wish to cancel your commission, or you do not wish to receive the portrait (whether completed or not), you are not entitled to a partial or full refund. The portrait will be completed and sent to you unless you specifically request me not to send it, it will then be kept in safe storage for 12 months and then discarded. If you have paid a deposit and wish to cancel your commission you are not entitled to any refund.
If you have paid a deposit and do not wish to complete your purchase you will not receive your portrait and you are not entitled to any refund, the artwork will be kept in safe storage for 12 months and then discarded.
Although every effort is made to meet deadlines they can never be guaranteed, if your portrait is completed after the estimated turnaround time at the time of purchase you are not entitled to any refund.
If in the unlikely event that I cannot fulfil your commission, you are entitled to a full refund.
Artwork is fragile and should be opened immediately and with care.
If in the extremely rare case that the portrait arrives to you damaged, you must contact me within 3 days of receiving it with pictures of the damages. If more than 3 days has passed since your order has been delivered, I cannot offer you a refund or exchange.
The artwork must be returned to me within 7 days of receiving it and when I receive it, you are entitled to either receive a full refund, or a new artwork at the same price (if you choose to have a new artwork done for you, you will be booked in at the earliest possible time after my ongoing bookings).
It is important to return your order by a tracked service as I cannot be held responsible for any items lost in transit. Return shipping is non-refundable. The item must arrive to me in the same condition as you received it.
Refunds will only be issued after a claim has been accepted with the courier, as they may wish for you to fill in a form to declare the artwork arrived to you damaged – this could take a few weeks for the claim to go through. As soon as the compensation amount has been received you will be issued with a full refund. Refunds take 2-7 days to show in your account once issued. You will be contacted with any updates on this process should it be necessary.
Gift vouchers are dispatched within 3 working days of purchase. Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash, and they have an expiry of 1 year. Each gift voucher is worth the amount stated in GBP, this amount can go against any product offered by me at the time of redeeming except for gift vouchers.
